Hello,
My name is Melinda. I am a retired teacher/ principal who lives in north end Halifax. I still substitute teach in various schools at various grade levels. I raised my family here in this lovely home and now I can rent a wonderful bedroom to students. I have been involved with homestay for many years. I truly enjoy the many people I've met, It is a wonderful world and wonderful people yet! there is much good in people. I am a loving, caring person who tries to make the community, the world a better place to live. My home is downtown Halifax, close to schools, laundromat, cafes, many diverse foods& restaurants, universities(bus route) or walk, hospitals, libraries, churches, and shopping malls. these type of things i so enjoy!
The neighborhood is so friendly. It is a large diverse community, quiet, but yet a very keen sense of culture and music. This is the area of much development yet much community culture. People really enjoy living here.
This is a large home with big backyard and a lovely deck. I live an active lifestyle with recreation, church, family, community groups and organizations. There are no meals provided. There is no other students, small refrigerator provided in kitchen, Livingroom, dining room, washroom are all accessible to student. There are no pets in the home.
The bed is a queen size, like new. The bedding is provided. There is closet space, drawers, window in the room, with lovely curtains, a sofa is in the room, a large table to do your work
Students please provide your towels, facecloths, toothpaste, mouthwash lotions, soaps. There is a large bathroom available, one can shower 2-3 times a week.
The rent is $1000.00
