Homestay in 加拿大 － Halifax
Our home is located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood called Clayton Park. You can walk to the bus stop from our home and take the bus to school or anywhere else you want to go in Halifax.
We are a very nice and easy-going family. We don’t have a big list of house rules. You are free to come and go and do as you please.
In the home there is me, the mom, and my two sons. One son is in high school and the other is in university There are also two other female students who live here who are attending university.
I grew up in Halifax and can answer any questions you may have about busses, schools, employment options, entertainment, shopping, dining, local customs, the English language, etc. I graduated from Dalhousie University and now work for the Federal Government. I can help you get to know and understand the city. I can take you to the cell phone store to get a plan for your phone. I can pick you up at the airport when you arrive.
As for your accommodations, you will have your own private, comfortable room, and will share a bathroom (which is near your room) with the other students. Your room has a bed with linens, a desk and chair, a dresser for your clothes, shelf space, and a small fridge. Your bedroom also has a Smart TV which has Netflix and cable.
Also included are the following:
All utilities (water, electricity, heat)
Wifi
Use of laundry facilities (modern washer and dryer, detergent is also provided)
Bathroom towels and tissue supplies
Use of kitchen, cooking equipment, dishes, etc. to prepare your meals.
Your own cupboard in the kitchen and use of a shared fridge.
Our home is relatively large with lots of common areas for visiting with friends or housemates. You are free to invite your friends to come to the house to share a meal with you or to just hang out. Everyone is welcome here.
